Downs Play we aim to provide a safe, secure and relaxed environment, offering a range of activities to reflect the interests of the children in our care. Our club follows the Playwork Principles, children are free to choose activities and resources as they wish. There will always be a selection of activities and resources available, including dressing up, home corner, craft, board games, construction, physical play, cookery, and reading. In addition other resources are available for the children to select from our equipment library.
Downs Play is led by Manager Andrew McAuley, and a large team of playworkers. We aim to provide a smooth transition between school and club. All of our staff have significant experience working with children and undertake continuous professional development training. All staff are DBS checked.

Downs Play is a breakfast, afterschool and holiday club based at Downs Junior School open to children reception to Y6. Breakfast club from 7:45am until school starts, afterschool club from end of school until 6.00pm -weekdays during term time. Downs Infant drop off and collection.
We also offer holiday clubs 9:00am to 5:00pm. See holiday club tab for more information.
